Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I want to thank those of you who attended my in-person town hall meeting at WSU Vancouver on March 19. It was great to again be in the same room as constituents and discussing issues important to our communities. I appreciated the opportunity to provide my views on the 2022 legislative session and answer questions. I also held a virtual, Zoom town hall on Feb. 24. However, there is no substitute for face-to-face, personal interactions.

2022 Legislative Review newsletter

My 2022 Legislative Review newsletter will be arriving in the mailboxes of constituents soon. In this newsletter, I provide more details on the challenging 60-day legislative session – including constitutional rights, emergency powers reform, election integrity, public safety, the long-term care insurance program and payroll tax, the supplemental operating budget, and bills I sponsored. You can find an electronic version here.

Upcoming election-year restrictions

On May 16, election-year restrictions take effect for state representatives. This means my legislative communications, including email updates like this one, will be restricted until after the November election. The exception to this rule would be if the Legislature went into a special session.

However, I can still respond to constituents who contact me throughout the year. With that, I encourage you to email, call and write me a letter anytime. You'll find my contact information below. I look forwarded to hearing from you.

It is an honor and privilege to serve the people of the 17th District. Thank you for the opportunity to represent you.
