Capital Budget Grant Workshop
Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017
10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Although the state’s capital budget hasn’t been fully approved by the Legislature, I remain optimistic it will be passed. For now, I believe it’s important to provide information to community organization leaders on possible grant resources that will become available after the budget is approved.
On Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, I’m hosting an informational “Capital Budget Grant Workshop” to help local and non-profit organizations identify and apply for grants funded through the state’s capital budget.
This grant workshop is designed to connect community and non-profit organizations in southwest Washington to potential grant resources. Community organizations will be given information on what types of grants are available and get answers on how to apply.
Grant managers and key staff members from the Washington State Department of Commerce and Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office will be on hand to provide details on available grants, as well as guidance on the application process. Some of the grants that will be discussed include the Building Communities Fund, Youth Recreational Facilities, Youth Athletic Facilities, Building for the Arts, and the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program.
I’m looking forward to being on-hand to answer any of your questions on state-funded capital budget grants. If you are interested in attending, please see the event details below:
